J.D. Decker, Administrator of the Nevada Division of Industrial Relations, has more than 25 years of experience in government, military and private sector leadership. The Division of Industrial Relations protects Nevada’s workers and businesses by enforcing OSHA, Mining and Worker’s Compensation health and safety laws, inspecting Nevada’s workplaces, and providing employer and worker safety and injury prevention training. Prior to his appointment to DIR, Decker served as the Administrator of the Nevada Real Estate Division where he successfully led process improvement and modernization changes, resulting in NRED being named the “2015 Agency of the Year”. Decker initially came to Nevada state government as the Deputy Insurance Commissioner overseeing the compliance and enforcement sections for the Division of Insurance. Decker spent 20 years in corporate sector investigative and protective services management for major financial services companies before his tenure in state government.
